Balancing Acts

Five years ago, the Unitarian Universalist Association took a unique look at the question of how to keep a congregation safe from child sexual abuse.   They asked the Reverend Debra Haffner, executive director of the Religious Institute, to develop a comprehensive set of guidelines that is simple enough for any congregation to use.    The result was a ground breaking policy called "Balancing Acts".
