The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is announcing a new initiative addressing the prevention of teen dating and sexual violence entitled: Building Healthy Teen Relationships.
This initiative will support the creation and evaluation of comprehensive community-based models of prevention that aim to decrease relationship violence and increase positive, protective relationship skills. Up to eight geographically and ethnically diverse sites will receive up to $250,000 per year for up to 48 months.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals, Central Missouri Chapter will be offering a Grantwriting Workshop, April 9, 2007, at Lenoir Community Center. Ron Schmidt of Non Profit’s Advocate, a grant proposal writing and training consulting company, will be the presenter.
Target is accepting applications from organizations in communities where the company does business for its Local Store Grants program. Grant applications are accepted from nonprofit programs that impact arts, early childhood reading, and family violence prevention. Arts grants are awarded to programs that bring the arts to schools or make it affordable for families to participate in cultural experiences. Early childhood reading grants support programs that promote a love of reading and encourage children, from birth through age nine, to read together with their families.
